FINISHED EXCAVATING THE UNITS! (Well, at least hit subsoil in them all).
EU 107 (I worked in this unit): excavated level 11; found a new level 12 because of the presence of charcoal; found subsoil (packed yellow mottled dirt with grey crumbly rocks) to be called level 13.
EU 108 (past intern worked in this unit): excavated level 8; found subsoil (same red soil as EU 109's level 9).
EU 109 (we both worked in this unit): profiled west wall.
Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Also took out the trash at Henry's and Dewee's.

Wednesday, August 1st
Today I worked with my boss and a member of The Historic Trappe Society in continuing the organization of Dewee's. Namely, we moved the new shelving units into the best use of space of the art annex room and started putting items on them, as well as moved pieces of art/textiles and 3-D objects into the proper attic spaces in preparation for the renovation of the first floor.
Hours: 9:00 am to 6:30 pm
Overall Working Hours: 9 hours 30 minutes
Thursday, August 2nd
Sat in on a Historic Trappe Society- Museum Board meeting (a lot of things were discussed, but we interns were there to show all the progress we made in Dewee's). Afterwards, our boss and some other members of the board took us out for lunch for all the work we did, which was really nice of them to do so. When we returned, some of us went through artifacts (rebagged, reboxed) and made more shelves.
Hours: 9:00 am to 6:30 pm
Overall Working Hours: 9 hours 30 minutes
