Lutheranism and the MOP

This was posted on LACAP's Instagram and Facebook pages.

From its beginning, Lutheranism has been a sect of Christianity that is not as rigid. While there are a collection of writings that do form the Lutheran backbone, historically how they have been carried out, particularly in the structuring of the church, has been more of a regional preference. When Lutheranism was then brought to the New World by settlers from various European countries, and therefore with various opinions on how Lutheranism should look in the United States, there were some issues. In order to combat further problems, the Ministerium of Pennsylvania formally created a constitution in 1781. Here is a picture of the oldest Synod Minutes in America that detail this meeting.
